American Livebearer Convention 2012

 

Once again the IGEES will be sanctioning the guppy classes in the annual show at the American Livebearer Association Convention.  The 2012 Convention will be held in Fort Lauderdale Florida.  Hosted by the Gold Coast Aquarium Society.

This year there are five classes for guppies.

Male Solid Color (tail) Delta Tail

Male Varieted Color (tail) Delta Tail

Male - Any other tail shape

Male - Albino

Female

This year they will be accepting shipped in entries!

This year you can send fish directly  into the show without having someone attend them.  All shipped in entries will be auctioned off after judging.

New Website Coming Soon!

Dear Friends,

In the next few weeks the IGEES will be launching a new website.    The new site has been under construction now for  couple of weeks.  As such the membership registrations and forums on this site have been disabled.   In the interim news about IGEES will continue to be posted here.  Once the new site is launched you will begin to register as a member of the IGEES and gain access to many exciting features.

Registration is now open for the new IGEES website.  As this is a completely new website so you will need to sign up again.  Membership in the IGEES is FREE!   Also a new forum (powered by Kunena) has been launched.  More content and features will be added in the near future.

Philip Shaddock Joins Poecillid Research Editorial Board

 

IGEES board member & co-founder Philip Shaddock has recently been named to the editorial board of the Poeciliid Research Journal.  The journal, published by Bioflux covers all the fields of poeciliid biology (structure, function, evolution, ecology, taxonomy) and poeciliid rearing (applied biology, legislation, breeding technology or biotechnology).
